The Austin Packers boys’ soccer team, the No. 2 team in the state in the latest Class A poll was on the road in Rochester Tuesday evening versus the Century Panthers, and the hosts gave the Packers their toughest test of the season to date as the two squads battled to a 1-1 draw.

Century’s Max Comfere opened the scoring in the 7th minute to make the score 1-0, but Austin drew even in the 23rd minute when Andres Garcia threaded a through ball to Henry Tolbert, who scored his seventh goal of the season to knot the score at 1.  The stalemate continued into the second half, with Century missing a golden opprotunity to take the lead when a penalty kick went wide to the right in the 43rd minute.

Austin is now 5-0-1 on the season, and they will be back into action Saturday afternoon in a re-scheduled game at Art Hass Stadium versus Albert Lea, with kickoff at 3:00 p.m.  The two teams had been orginally scheduled to play Thursday night in Austin.
