The Austin Packers boys’ hockey team was at City Arena in Albert Lea for a Big 9 Conference matchup with the Tigers Tuesday evening, and Blake Ulve tallied three goals and an assist, Joseph Yoon added two goals and the Tigers piled up 81 shots on goal while holding Austin to 19 in a 7-1 win.

Cal Fox tallied the lone goal of the game for Austin, his third of the season on the power play at 6:00 of the second period with an assist to Cody Williams.  The Packers wound up going 1 for 4 with the man advantage, while Albert Lea was 3 for 4.

Austin netminder Bray Klapperick was peppered with 23 shots in the first period, 39 in the second period and 19 more in the third for a total of 81, and he piled up 74 saves for the game.  Dakota Jahnke turned aside 18 of the 19 shots he faced to earn the win between the pipes.

Austin is now 0-6 on the season, and the Packers are off until Saturday, when they will travel to Graham Arena in Rochester to take on the Century Panthers.  Face-off Saturday afternoon is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
