Austin Packers boys golf team downs Winona 319-352 in Big 9 dual Monday

The Austin Packers boys golf team played host to the Winona Winhawks in a Big 9 Conference dual match rescheduled from April 10th, at the Austin Country Club Monday, and it was the Packers downing the Winhawks by 33 strokes, 319 to 352.

The Packers had two players score in the 70’s, led by Elijah Krueger, who fired a three-over-par round of 75, and Cale Tupy, who finished with a 77.  Austin was also led by Isaac Anderson, who carded an 83, Carter Hovelsrud fired an 84, Izaac Erickson finished with a round of 87, and Owen O’Rourke finished the day with a round of 88.

Austin swings right back into action today (Tuesday) at Wedgewood Cove Golf Course in Albert Lea for a Big 9 Conference triangular with the host Tigers and Owatonna, with the teams scheduled to tee off at 2:30 p.m.
