Austin Packers boys’ basketball team runs current win streak to eight with 72-51 win over Red Wing
Agwa Nywesh tallied 12 points, four assists and seven steals and despite committing 20 turnovers, the Austin Packers boys’ basketball team led by 18 at the half and went on to defeat Red Wing 72-51 in a Big 9 Conference game Tuesday night at Packer Gym.
Teyghan Hovland led the Packers in scoring with 14 points, while Moses Idris and Ogur Gari were also in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectivley. Victor Idris added seven points for Austin, while Okey Okey scored six points and Pierre Lilly and Tony Ciola each added five in the win for the Packers, who move to 7-1 in the Big 9 Conference and 10-1 overall on the season.
Austin is back in action Friday night in Northfield against the Raiders, with the varsity tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
