Austin man sentenced to supervised probation on two felony criminal sexual conduct charges in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who sexually assaulted a juvenile female, who he knew, on several occasions, the last occurrence taking place on May 1st, 2020 has been sentenced to supervised probation in Mower County District Court.

39-year old Rene Alfredo Vicente-Morales was convicted and sentenced Friday to five years of supervised probation for a felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, victim 13-15 years of age, position of authority.  A 36-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if Vicente-Morales complies with the 20 different conditions of his probation, and he was also convicted and sentenced Friday to five years of supervised probation for a felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, victim under 13, actor more than 36 months older.  A 36-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if Vicente-Morales complies with the terms of his probation, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Vicente-Morales will be able to serve the two sentences concurrently.

Vicente-Morales first pleaded guilty to the two charges on August 5th of this year.
