Austin man sentenced to supervised probation on felony financial transaction card fraud charge

An Austin man who pleaded guilty to a felony financial transaction card fraud charge in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that took place in February has been sentenced to supervised probation and community work service..

32-year-old Nathaniel Jay Stahl was convicted and sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation and 100 hours of community work service for a felony charge of financial transaction card fraud, use without consent.  A 15-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if Stahl complies with the 16 different terms of his probation, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge in March.
