Austin man sentenced to supervised probation on felony domestic assault charge

An Austin man convicted on a felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court has been sentenced to supervised probation.

27-year old Brandon James Roberts was sentenced Thursday to three years of supervised probation for a  felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation.  A prison sentence of a year and a day was stayed for three years if Roberts complies with the 22 different conditions of his probation, and he was convicted on the charge on March 4th after pleading guilty the same day.

A felony domestic assault charge in the case was dismissed with Roberts’ guilty plea.
