Austin man sentenced to supervised probation after pleading guilty to drug possession charges in Mower County District Court

One of two individuals arrested for possessing drugs after a traffic stop in Austin in November of 2019 has been sentenced to supervised probation in Mower County District Court.

36-year old Darron Dylan Miller, of Austin, was sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation, and he was also ordered to pay $135 in fees.  Miller pleaded guilty in September to charges of 2nd degree possession of heroin and 5th degree drug possession.

Miller was arrested on November 29, 2019, with 36-year old Angela Marie Edge of Rochester after a traffic stop on 4th Street NW.  Authorities reported that Miller, the passenger in the vehicle was under the influence of drugs, and that led to a search of the vehicle, which turned up 37.5 grams of heroin, $3,990 in cash, scales, and ledger books.

Edge has also pleaded guilty to a charge of 2nd degree possession of heroin. Her sentencing in Mower County District Court is scheduled for January 14, 2021.
