Austin man sentenced to prison time on felony drug sale charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who sold a total of 27.807 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Austin on November 12th, 2020 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.  

36-year old Joseph Perry White was arrested in September 2021 on a felony charge of 2nd degree drugs, sale of 10 grams or more of a narcotic other than heroin within a 90-day period.  White pleaded guilty to the charge in November 2021 and was sentenced Thursday to 78 months in prison, with credit for 91 days already served.

White initially pleaded not guilty to the charge on September 23rd, 2021.
