Austin man sentenced to prison time on felony criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who was taken into custody on February 3rd of this year after sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Austin who was known to him has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.  

34-year-old Jesse Manabusan was sentenced Friday to 12 years, or 144 months in prison for a felony charge of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 14 years of age, actor at least 36 months older. Manabusan was given credit for 288 days already served, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge on August 18th after initially pleading not guilty on February 17th.  

An additional felony charge of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under 14 years of age, actor at least 36 months older against Manabusan in the case was dismissed with his guilty plea, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Manabusan will also be subject to 10 years of conditional release after confinement.
