An Austin man convicted on a terroristic threats charge has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

42-year old Daniel Brian Engelman was sentenced Thursday to one year and one day in prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of terroristic threats. However, Engelman was given credit for 245 days already served.

Engelman was arrested in March 2018 after threatening two people with a knife. Austin Police reported that he attempted to break into a bedroom where his victims had hidden and an officer found a knife stuck in the bedroom door.
