Austin man sentenced to prison time for felony aggravated robbery charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man involved in a series of armed robberies in Mower County in December of 2020 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.   

22-year old Ladevin Martaz Hardin was sentenced to 50 months in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to two counts of felony 1st degree aggravated robbery.  Hardin was given credit for 98 days already served, and he must also pay just over $3,100 in restitution.

Authorities reported that Hardin participated in the December 8, 2020 robbery of the Dollar General Store in Austin and the December 9, 2020, robbery of Corky’s Corner Convenience Store in Adams. Investigators stated that a knife was used in both robberies.

19-year old Toby James Gogolewski of Lyle was previously sentenced to 75 months in prison after pleading guilty to three felony counts of first-degree aggravated robbery and a felony charge for aiding and abetting first-degree aggravated robbery after taking part in a robbery at the Apollo III gas station on West Oakland Avenue in Austin on December 6th, 2020, also at Dollar General in Austin, at Corky’s Corner Convenience Store in Adams and at Freeborn County Co-Op in Lyle on December 11th, 2020. 

19-year old Patrick Harris Alston of Austin was sentenced in May to 41 months in prison for a felony charge of aiding and abetting aggravated robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon for his role in the Dollar General robbery.  Alston was given credit for 160 days already served, and 19-year old Nathaniel Gerome Davenport of Austin, has pleaded guilty to felony charges of 1st degree aggravated robbery and aiding and abetting 1st degree aggravated robbery for being involved in the robberies of Corky’s Corner Convenience Store in Adams and the Freeborn County Co-Op in Lyle. Davenport’s sentencing in Mower County District Court has been scheduled.for January 6th, 2022.
