Austin man sentenced to jail time, supervised probation and time in the sentence to service program on felony criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who sexually abused an underage girl know to him on several occasions has been sentenced to jail time, a lengthy term of supervised probation and several hundred hours in the sentence to service program in Mower County District Court.

29-year old Collin James Lewis was convicted and sentenced Thursday to 180 days in jail, 25 years of supervised probation and 500 hours in the sentence to service program for a felony charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, victim under 13, actor more than 36 months older.  A 36-month prison sentence was stayed for 25 years if Lewis complies with the 23 different terms of his probation, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge on February 25th of this year.  

Seven additional felony charges, including three counts of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under 13 years of age and four counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct, sexual contact with a child under 16, significant relationship in the case were all dismissed with Lewis’s guilty plea.
