Austin man sentenced to additional prison term in Mower County District Court for violating a no-contact order

An Austin man currently serving a 21-month prison sentence at the Minnesota Department of Corrections facility at Oak Park Heights after being sentenced on a felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court in September of 2021 has been sentenced to another prison term.

42-year old Willie Padilla was convicted and sentenced Friday to 21 months in prison for a felony charge of violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first ot two or more convictions.  Padilla first pleaded guilty to the charge in September of 2021, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Padilla will be able to serve the two sentences concurrently.
