Austin man injured in semi rollover in McLeod County Tuesday

An Austin man was injured when the semi he was driving rolled over on Highway 15 in McLeod County Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2016 Mack semi and trailer being driven by 68-year old Robert Charles Cook of Austin was northbound on Highway 15 in McLeod County at 7:02 a.m. Tuesday morning when he entered the ditch near the intersection with 65th Street in Sumter Township and rolled.

Cook suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Hutchinson ER.  The State Patrol reported that Cook was wearing his seat belt, and the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, the Brownton Fire Department and the Hutchinson Ambulance Squad all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
