Austin man facing five felony charges in Mower County District court after Sunday night domestic situation

An Austin man arrested after a report of a firearm discharged during a Sunday night domestic situation at a residence in the 1800 block of 4th Avenue Northwest has been charged with five felonies in Mower County District Court.

27-year old Raul Zavala Jr. was charged Tuesday with felonies for first-degree attempted murder, premeditated, first-degree assault, great bodily harm, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, substantial bodily harm and two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Zavala’s next appearance in Mower County District Court is scheduled for July 2nd.
