Austin man facing felony assault, domestic assault charges in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who allegedly punched a woman in the face and attempted to stab her with a screwdriver during a domestic incident at a residence on the 200 block of 1st Street Southeast on the evening of July 26th has been charged with four felonies in Mower County District Court.

36-year-old Christopher David Mitchell has been charged with felonies for 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, threats of violence, domestic assault and 5th-degree assault.  Mitchell’s next appearance in Mower County District Court is scheduled for August 6th.
