Austin man facing charges of burglary, terroristic threats, assault and animal cruelty in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who allegedly threatened to kill another man and his dog on the evening of August 30th at a residence in the 100 block of Clinton Street in Mapleview, and who also, along with a female juvenile allegedly kicked the man’s dog has been charged in Mower County District Court.

33-year old Jeremy James Gilbert was charged Tuesday with a felony for 1st degree burglary of an occupied dwelling, a felony for terroristic threats, a gross misdemeanor for 5th degree assault and a misdemeanor for animal cruelty.  

Gilbert is currently awaiting disposition on a felony domestic assault charge, and his next appearance in Mower County District Court is scheduled for September 10th.
