Austin man facing 25 felony counts of being a violent felon in possession of a firearm in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who was found to be in possession of several rifles, shotguns, pistols, revolvers and ammunition after a search warrant was executed at his residence on the 500 block of 4th Street Southwest on May 30th, 2019 has been charged in Mower County District Court.

60-year old James Lee Chris Walker, has been charged with 25 felony counts of being a violent felon in possession of a firearm and one felony count of being a violent felon in possession of firearm ammunition.  According to court records, Walker had been found in possession of a black powder revolver in Lyle on May 

25th, 2019, and the search was conducted due to Walker’s criminal history disqualifying him from possessing firearms.  

Waker’s next appearance in Mower County District Court is scheduled for October 29th.
