Austin High School Rotary Students of the Month for September announced

Congratulations to Emily Bollum and Rachel Christenson the Austin High School Rotary Students of the Month for September 2019.

Emily plays on the Girls Soccer, Basketball, and Track teams.  Additionally, she is a member of FFA, DECA. NHS, Go Green Club, Link Crew, Youth Leadership, and Peer Power Partners.  She has received the Norman Borlaug Science Achievement Award in addition to receiving the spotlight award in all three sports she participates in.  Emily plans to attend Iowa State University to major in Ag Business.

Rachel is a member of Student Council, NHS, DECA, Link Crew, Drama, and Orchestra, and plays on the Girls Tennis team.  She has received the Presidential Award for Academics and received the spotlight award for Tennis.  Rachel plans to attend a 4-year school with an eye toward finding a career in Environmental Conservation.

Each month the Austin Rotary, in conjunction with Austin Public Schools, selects two students who excel in academics, leadership, and/or activities.
