After opening their season last Saturday with an invitational at the Austin YMCA, the Austin Packers gymnastics team hosted Faribault at the Y Thursday night for their first dual meet of the young 2019-2020 season.  Packer freshman Claire Raymond took first in all-around, vault, bars and floor to help lead the Packers to a 131.125-122.775 win.

On the vault, Raymond was first with a score of 8.850, while teammate Lilly Reynen was second with a score of 8.6 and Hannah Fritz was third for Austin with a score of 8.575.  On the bars, Raymond was first with a score of 8.225 and Ashley Myhre was second with a final score of 7.8.  On the beam, Maria Morey was second for the Packers with a score of 8.35, and Morgan Raymond was third with an 8.225.  Raymond was first on the floor exercise for Austin with a score of 9.075, Morey was second with a total of 8.975 and Reynen was third for the Packers  with a score of 8.925.  In the all-around, Raymond was first for Austin with a score of 33.475, Reynen was third with a score of 31.650 and Myhre was fifth with a final tally of 30.400.

The Packers start off 1-0 in dual meets, and they are now off until Friday, December 13th when they hit the road for the first time this season as they travel to Red Wing.  The varsity meet is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
