Austin Greyhounds to return to action tonight at Marcusen Park
After seeing eight games wiped from their schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Austin Greyhounds will be returning to action tonight (Wednesday) at historic Marcusen Park.
The Hounds, who were given the go-ahead along with other amatuer teams around the state to resume games last Friday will be playing host to the Waseca Braves, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Games will be open to fans, but social distancing guidelines must be observed.
Greyhounds manager Joe Ciola, back for his second year at the helm stated that Austin will play 10 games against Twin Rivers League opponents in just over one month before the start of the playoffs on July 29th.
Other teams in the Twin Rivers League include the Dodge County Diamondbacks, Owatonna Aces, Pine Island Pioneers, Rochester Roadrunners, Stewartville/Racine Sharks, Wanamingo Jacks, the Waseca Braves and the Winona Chiefs.
