The Austin Packers boys cross country team was 10th out of 22 teams and the Packer girls finished 11th out of 21 teams at the Swain Invite in Duluth Saturday.

Cloquet was the boys Class AA winner with 57 points, followed by Bloomington Jefferson with 67 points in second, third was Forest Lake with 129 points, Rochester Mayo was fourth with 151 points and Princeton was fifth with 173 points.  Alex Petrik ran the best time for Austin, as he finished 33rd  wiht a time of 20.:03.3 and Jackson Marsh was 39th with a time of 20:07.5.

In the girls competition, Forest Lake was the runaway winner with 33 points, as Bloomington Jefferson was a distant second with 110 points.  Visitation was third with 133 points, followed by Cloquet in fourth with 149 points and Hibbing was fifth with 161.

Nadia Vaughn finished in 19th to lead the way for the Packers with a time of 22.38.9, and Marissa Shute was 33rd with a time of 23.22.2.

Both Austin cross country teams are back into action at home this afternoon at Meadow Greens Golf Course as they host a six-team invitational.  Start time is 4:30 p.m.
