Austin City Council approves tax credit application for proposed River Bend Townhomes project

The Austin City Council approved a tax credit application for the proposed River Bend Townhomes project during its regularly scheduled meeting earlier this week.  The proposed 30-unit townhome project would be constructed on a 4.66-acre parcel at 300 15th Ave. NE, east of Kuehn Motor Company and adjacent to Interstate 90, and Austin City Administrator Craig Clark talked to KAUS News about when the project first took shape…

The Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership must now apply to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for tax credits by July 16th, and Clark stated that Minnesota Housing will then announce tax credit awards in December….

If it is approved, the project would consist of three separate buildings with four two-bedroom units, designated for Persons with Disabilities, 24 three-bedroom units and two four-bedroom units.
