Austin Bruins double up Minnesota Wilderness 4-2

The Austin Bruins were looking to snap a five-game losing streak Thursday night as they hosted the Minnesota Wilderness at Riverside Arena, and Carson Riddle tallied a hat trick to help lead the Bruins to a 4-2 win.

All three of Riddle’s goals came on the power play, which was 3 for 5 on the evening for Austin.  Reggie Millette tallied the other goal for the Bruins, his sixth of the season, and Tyler Shea picked up the win between the pipes for Austin as he turned aside 24 of the 26 shots he faced.

With the win, the Bruins improve to 10-19-2-2 on the season, and they are now only two points out of fourth place in the Central Division with 24 points.  Austin is back in action in St. Cloud next Wednesday evening for a St. Patrick’s Day matchup with the Norsemen.
