Austin and Lyle Fire Departments respond to shed fire south of Austin early Wednesday morning

Fire Departments from Austin and Lyle responded to a shed fire at a rural residence just south of Austin early Wednesday morning that caused significant damage to the structure and its contents inside.  

Austin Fire Chief Jim McCoy reported that the department responded to the call concerning the fire at 18226 Highway 105 south of Austin at approximately 3:50 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Chief McCoy stated that the fire caused approximately $25,000 in damage to the shed and its contents, and no injuries were reported.  

An investigator with the State Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene Wednesday morning to investigate the cause of the fire.
