The LeRoy/Ostrander Cardinals played host to the Grand Meadow Superlarks in a Southeast Conference matchup Tuesday night, and Riley Queensland erupted for 34 points to help lead the Larks past the Cardinals 78-27.

Grand Meadow outscored LeRoy/Ostrander by an astounding 52-6 total in the first half as besides Queensland, Rylee Groom was also in double figures in scoring with 10 points, whle Gina Stier and Madison Hindt each tallied 7 points.  Sam Volkart led the Cardinals with 9 points, while Jordan Runde added 8.

Grand Meadow is now 6-5 overall and 5-2 in the Southeast Conference West Division.  LeRoy/Ostrander is now 0-7 in the SEC West and 0-11 overall.  The Cardinals return to action on Friday night in LeRoy against Houston, while Grand Meadow will take on NRHEG in The Showcase at Kasson Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

In Blooming Prairie Tuesday evening, the Awesome Blossoms played host to Southland in a non-conference game, and Megan Oswald scored 17 points while Bobbie Bruns added 15 to help the Blossoms snap the Rebels’ five-game winning streak by the score of 55-30.

Blooming Prairie outscored Southland 29-8 in the first half as besides Oswald and Bruns, Anna Pauly scored 4 points and Maren Forystek added 3 in the fifth straight win for the Blossoms.  For the Rebels, Lexi Smith led the way in scoring with 7 points, Kayla Nelson added 6 points, Hattie Wiste chipped in with 5 points while Kelsey Mensink and Katie Popenhagen each added 4.  Southland returns to action Friday night at Rushford/Peterson, while Blooming Prairie will entertain Lyle/Pacelli Thursday evening.

Speaking of the Athletics, they were in action Tuesday night in Lyle against the Randolph Rockets, and although Olivia Christenson tallied 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals, it wasn’t enough as the Rockets rolled to a 61-30 win in the Southeast Conference matchup.

Lyle/Pacelli is now 3-4 in the SEC and 3-10 overall on the season.
