The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals boys basketball team was on the road in Mabel Tuesday evening for a Southeast Conference showdown with the Cougars, and Riley Olson led three Cardinals in double figures with 29 points in a 67-56 win.

Chase Johnson scored 15 points and Tanner Olson added 11 points in the win, while Isaac Collier and Levi Royston each scored six points for the Cardinals, who won their second in a row and are now 7-7 in the SEC and 10-12 overall on the season.  LeRoy/Ostrander returns to action Thursday night at home versus Goodhue, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.

In Adams, the Southland Rebels played host to Hayfield in a non-conference game, and Ethan Slaathaug racked up 19 points and five rebounds and Luke Dudycha, Isaac Matti and Easton Fritcher all scored in double figures as well to propel the Vikings past the Rebels 68-61.

Dudycha tallied 16 points for Hayfield, while Matti and Fritcher each scored 14 points, and Patrick Towey added five.  For Southland, Nick Boe led the way with 16 points, Daniel Boe tallied 12 points, Harrison Hanna chipped in with 10 points and Brendan Kennedy and Carter Schmitz each added seven.  With the win, Hayfield now sits at 15-4 overall on the season while Southland dips to 8-10 overall with the loss.  The Rebels return to action Thursday night in St. Charles, while the Vikings will host Blooming Prairie Friday night.
