The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball team was on the road Monday evening for a Southeast Conference matchup with Kingsland, and Jake Truckenmiller led four Athletics in double figures with a double-double of 20 and 10 rebounds as LP routed the Knights for their second win in a row 80-59.
Jed Nelson tallied 19 points, seven rebound and four steals in the win for Lyle/Pacelli, while Sam Nelsen also tallied a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Cole Walter added 14 points and led LP in assists with eight.  Zach Bollingberg chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds, and Trey Anderson totaled two points and four boards.
With the win, Lyle/Pacelli moves to 3-1 on the season, and the Athletics return to action Thursday night at home versus LeRoy/Ostrander, a game you’ll hear on AM 1480 KAUS, online at myaustinminnesota.com and on the I Heart Radio app.  The pre-game show will come your way at 7:00 p.m., with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
In other Southeast Conference action from Monday night, the Southland Rebels were on the road for the first time early in this 2020-2021 season as they were in Grand Meadow to take on the Superlarks.  Ethan Forthun led four Rebels in double figures with 22 points as the Rebels edged the Larks to remain unbeaten on the season 67-64.
Harrison Hannah tallied 14 points in the winning effort for Southland, while Eli Wolff was 2 of 3 from behind the 3-point arc in putting up 14 points, and Dan Boe finished with 10 points.  Grand Meadow sharpshooter Colt Landers led the Larks with 18 points, Taylor Glynn added 14 points, Ben Kraft was also in double figures with 10 points and Evan Oehlke added seven points for Grand Meadow, who fell to 3-2 with the loss.  The Superlarks return to action Thursday night at home versus Glenville/Emmons.
With the win, Southland is out to a perfect 4-0 start, and the Rebels will be in Spring Valley to play Kingsland Thursday night.
