Absentee/mail-in ballots to arrive to voters in Mower County soon

Absentee voting in Minnesota for the November 3rd election started on Friday, and Amanda Kiefer, Deputy for Elections and Vital Records with the Mower County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office stated to KAUS News that voters in the county who applied for an absentee, or mail-in ballot should be receiving them in the mail soon, and she added that because of that, they should refrain from stopping into their office on the second floor of Austin City Hall to pick them up…

Kiefer went on to state that when voters in the county fill out their ballots, they can either return them through the mail, or take them directly to the Auditor/Treasurer’s Office…

Kiefer added that ballots are processed daily as they come in, and she went on to state that if voters in Mower County are still looking to vote via a mail-in or absentee ballot, they can log on to www.mnvotes.org to request a ballot, and they can also track their ballot via a link on the site.  Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says Minnesota and South Dakota are the two states with the earliest access to absentee mail-in voting. He’s urging voters not to wait until the last minute to send in their ballots–he says the earlier you send it in, the better.
