911 service restored to area counties

This is an emergency scene including both a fire engine and an ambulance.
911 service was restored in eight different counties in southeastern Minnesota Monday evening after an outage was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Authorities reported that Mower, Freeborn, Olmsted, Dodge, Winona, Wabasha, Rice, and Steele counties were all affected by the outage.
There has been no word as of yet on what caused the outage.
