74 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 6,252

Mower County logged 6,052 confirmed and 200 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 6,252 since the onset of the pandemic, a jump of 74 from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 48,009 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 716,100 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 17,590 cumulative cases Tuesday, a spike of 244 from Monday, Steele County reported 5,647 cumulative cases Tuesday, up 56 from Monday and Freeborn County confirmed 4,763 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 62 from Monday.  Dodge County now has 2,646 cumulative cases, up 33 from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 2,279 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a jump of 71 from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 7,942 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 746,748, and they added that 10 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 8,330 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 39,181 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have been hospitalized since the start of the pandemic, and 7,927 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
