66 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 5,109

Mower County logged 4,965 confirmed and 144 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 5,109 since the onset of the pandemic, a jump of 66 from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 44,413 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 620,400 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 14,548 cumulative cases Tuesday, a jump of 134 from Monday, Steele County recorded 4,373 cumulative cases Tuesday, up 54 from Monday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,809 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 49 from Monday.  Dodge County now has 2,120 cumulative cases, a jump of 41 from Monday and Fillmore County reported 1,736 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up 14 from Monday.  

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 3,838 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 639,059, and they added that eight additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,775 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 34,561 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 7,025 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
