38 people test positive for COVID-19 at recent mass testing event at Mower County Fairgrounds

38 people tested positive for COVID-19 after a mass testing event at the Mower County Fairgrounds June 20th and 21st.

The Minnesota Department of Health set up a free COVID-19 mass testing event in which 2,060 people participated over the two days and 38 tested positive, which is less than 2%.

Mower County Community Health Supervisor Sally Garry reported that some of the 38 whose tests came back positive showed no symptoms.  She added that all who participated have received their results.   County health officials noted that other mass testing sites across the state have also seen low numbers of positive tests return.
