34 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County from over the weekend for cumulative total of 11,543
Mower County logged 11,067 confirmed and 476 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 11,543 since the onset of the pandemic, up 34 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic, now stands at 1,392,731, and over 1,356,000 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County confirmed 38,742 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 142 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 10,018 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 29 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County recorded 8,713 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 27 from over the weekend. Dodge County now has 5,474 cumulative cases, up 12 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County confirmed 4,497 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up eight from over the weekend.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 4,338 positive COVID-19 cases in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 1,336,678, and they added that 33 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Saturday to Monday for a cumulative total of 11,830 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 59,219 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 10,994 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
