22 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 6,980

Mower County logged 6,757 confirmed and 223 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 6,980 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 22 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that total positive cases for the duration of the pandemic, including reinfections, now total 846,887, and over 804,500 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 20,266 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 153 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 6,356 cumulative cases Monday, up 30 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,258 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 17 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 3,149 cumulative cases, a rise of 33 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 2,784 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 22 from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 5,266 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 837,765, and they added that no COVID-19 related deaths were reported in the state from over the weekend due to the Veterans Day holiday last Thursday, keeping the cumulative total at 8,996 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 43,193 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 8,680 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
