It’s Day 4 of the Mower County Free Fair at the fairgrounds in Austin.
It’s Friday Funday at the fairgrounds today, and the open class and FFA dairy show will be held in Crane Pavilion to start the day at 9 a.m. The 4-H cat and pet show will be held in the 4-H garden at 10 a.m., and midwest hog show entries will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 4-H performing arts will be held in Fair Square at noon, and the midwest market hog show weigh-in will be held from noon to 2 p.m. The carnival opens at 1 p.m., and a water balloon contest will also be held at 1 p.m. The 4-H fashion review will be held in Fair Square at 2 p.m., and the FFA swine show will start in Crane Pavilion at 3 p.m. The 4-H llama show will get underway in Crane Pavilion at 3 p.m., and Terry Schmidt, the Piano Man will be playing in Fair Square at 3 and again at 5 p.m. Monarch Magic will be featured in the Game and Fish building from 4-7 p.m., and the midwest market hog show will be held in Crane Pavilion’s south arena at 5 p.m.
Project Areas, except llamas and dogs will take place in the 4-H building at 5 p.m., and Light 45 Christian Rock will be featured in Fair Square at 6 and 8 p.m. The Monster X pit party will start at 6:30 and will run until 7:30 p.m., and the Monster X Tour will be in the grandstand at 8 p.m. Funktion Junction will also be playing in the blue ribbon plaza at 9 p.m. this evening.
