16 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 5,186

Mower County logged 5,034 confirmed and 152 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 5,186 since the onset of the pandemic, up 16 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 44,709 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 625,200 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 14,776 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 54 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 4,461 cumulative cases Monday, up 37 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,899 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, a rise of 36 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 2,172 cumulative cases, up 16 from over the weekend and Fillmore County recorded 1,767 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up nine from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,918 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 646,094, and they added that six additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in state from Saturday to Monday for a cumulative total of 7,805 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 35,038 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 7,130 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
